Yesterday’s post made me think a lot on the classic, “Crank” piece, above. It is the most identifiable piece in my business and portfolio, and one I don’t think I will ever top (at least for now). But thinking back, there was actually a big seller before “Crank” and that piece is called “Full-Tilt”.
This had to be probably my second, maybe third piece that I did? It’s an oldie and I cringe when I look at it. I named it because the player is power cradling and running at full-speed, or “full-tilt” as they call it. The funny thing is that customers would mention “full-tilt” because of the slang word to describe how low the helmet “sits on your head” – as if it’s “tilt-ting”. Yeah, true ‘dat!
Funny how other people interpret your work differently. It’s interesting to know that out-doing “Crank” is still a possibility!
And yes, there’s a new and updated, or “modernized” version of the classic, “Full-Tilt” which is available called “Full-Tilt-3”. His body this time is actually “tilting”.
