Recently, I took the family to my parents’ place in NYC for a full family dinner, since my sister was visiting from the West Coast. My oldest son, who is 5, and recently started his first, official lacrosse practices, asked about my old lacrosse equipment in high school that is still with my folks. To me, showing the old and outdated gear is always a trip down ‘memory lane’.
Here we go… :o)
Yes, I played multiple positions in high school…
The good old, Bacharach Rasin ‘Brain Bucket’ stuffed in a closet. I think that’s a Cascade C2, above it.
They do not make ‘stock colors’ such as RED for sticks, anymore. This is how old the STX Goalmaster is. Now, because I couldn’t get it custom dyed with letters, I took a school bumper sticker and cut the letters/words out. Whatever it takes, whatever works…:o)
My roommate in lacrosse camp did this pocket exactly on a STX Laser Hi-Wall, thus I did the same one day.
Last but not least, when your Mom, who loves to garden, has an indoor plant and tree growing in the apartment and uses a couple old defensive sticks to help ‘straighten’ the plants.
Like I said, whatever it takes, whatever works.
Got any cool, old stuff to show? SHOW IT! :o)
