Last year we had a piece titled ‘Patient. Persistent. Proficient.’ It illustrated human hands stringing a head of a traditional wooden stick. Stringing a stick is hard – very hard. But what nobody knew was that the piece was part one, of a two part series. Instead of the traditional graphite, pen & ink mediums used, I made it a goal for myself to do it digitally. The process of the second part is shown in the series of pics, below.
Part 1 is to show that stringing a stick takes a dedicated amount of time. Part 2 is to remind yourself that cradling, catching and throwing requires a constant dedication. But we were able to make this into two (2) pieces, as well. The other piece is that of the strung head, alone, titled ‘Original-Traditional’.
